Earlier this year, the “Say Goodbye to Tough Guy Myth! Lunch Talk on Men’s Mental Wellness” was warmly received and drew an enthusiastic response.  In view of this, this talk will be held again on 13 May 2026 by the Committee Against Discrimination and Sexual Harassment (CADSH). Frontline social workers and service users from the Hong Kong Mental Health Association’s “Men’s Space” programme are invited to share their valuable experience which will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by men today, as well as practical tips on the role of supporters and how they can offer support to their male peers.

Co-organised by the Faculty of Social Science, the Gender Studies Programme, the University Library, the Diversity and Inclusion Office, and CADSH, this lunch talk is one of the key activities of “Man Up, Man Down: A Dialogue on Masculinities, Resilience, and Mental Health” Campaign. Sandwiches and drinks will be available in limited supply on-site. All staff and students (of all genders) are welcome to join and support men’s mental wellness.
